What data needs to be / can be added

Student data
First name	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you.
Surname	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you, alternatively you are welcome to send just the first letter of a students surname providing your staff can differentiate between students.
Email address	Optional	If you would like for us to create student accounts for you then we will need this information, the reason you may want students to have an account would be so they can receive push notifications. Also, if you would like to have the ability to send email to students via the comms platform. Please note, emails will be sent from your school name and users will respond to the Inbox of your chosen email address.
Mobile Number	Optional	If you would like to have the ability to send SMS messages to students via the comms platform.
Emergency contact information	Required	If you would like your comms platform to have the ability to send messages to parents then we will need emergency contact information, that can include; Name, Relationship to student, Email address, Mobile phone number. You can also have a priority number for each emergency contact
Year group	Required	To enable you to use the filter system effectively.
Form group	Optional	If you would like further information in addition to a students year group.
House	Optional	This is more for the sports platform if your school tends to have house events, however we have the ability for you to input this information if you would like.
Medical information	Optional	If you would like this data on there then we recommend you make the information coded.
PP and SEN	Optional	You’re welcome to add this information, if you would like to, however we only recommend this information being added if you would like to use either Squad in Touch sports platform or the whole school extra-curricular clubs platform.
Parental data
First name	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you.
Surname	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you, alternatively you are welcome to send just the first letter of a parents surname providing your staff can differentiate between students.
Email address	Required	This is so you have the ability to send email to parents / guardians via the comms platform. Please note, emails will be sent from your school name and users will respond to the Inbox of your chosen email address.
Mobile Number	Optional	If you would like to have the ability to send SMS messages to parents.
Child’s name(s)	Required	So the system knows which parent is linked to which student.
Staff data
First name	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you.
Surname	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you, alternatively you are welcome to send just the first letter of a staff members surname.
Email address	Required	This is so you have the ability to send email to staff via the comms platform. Please note, emails will be sent from your school name and users will respond to the Inbox of your chosen email address.
Mobile Number	Optional	If you would like to have the ability to send SMS messages to staff.
Form group	Optional	If you would like to link staff to their own classes then please feel free to provide this information.
Governors / trustees data
First name	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you.
Surname	Required	If you would like to use coded information then this is completely up to you, alternatively you are welcome to send just the first letter of their surname.
Email address	Required	This is so you have the ability to send email to them via the comms platform. Please note, emails will be sent from your school name and users will respond to the Inbox of your chosen email address.
